The planet whose shell is breaking

The second Wednesday in December will be a little different to what Pathfinder Society members are used to. To round off 2024, GM Jarekk82 would like to take you on an adventure in space. The playtest for the new edition of ‘Starfinder’, which transfers the familiar rules of ‘Pathfinder 2E’ into the future, will run until summer 2025.

So this time it’s time for the Starfinder Society to meet in the vaults of the association. On 11 December 2024 at 17:30 until around 22:30, we Star Scouts will be going on an adventure. The adventure is Playtest-01: Shards of the Glass Planet and will be played in Swiss German (or in standard German if this works better for individual participants).

For millennia, Birnam’s Bubble has been a planet untouched by outsiders, fully encapsulated in an impenetrable shield of unknown energy and protected by powerful automated defenses. Through this barrier, explorers and surveyors have glimpsed pristine settlements, verdant flora, and inexplicable magical emanations—yet no fauna or citizens populate the world’s surface.

As in many other parts of the galaxy, the Drift Crisis changed everything. Now, the energy barrier surrounding Birnam’s Bubble cracks like shattering glass, and shards of this solidified energy have begun to fall through the atmosphere to the planet’s surface, causing significant destruction. Enter the breach and uncover the secrets of the lost civilizations of Birnam’s Bubble before they’re lost forever!

The adventure is played with pre-made characters (pre-gens). It is also open to new players who do not yet have any role-playing experience and/or are not yet familiar with the Pathfinder system in its 2nd edition. (There will be an option to get boons for your Pathfinder Society account if you already play Pathfinder Society.)

We’ll see us in court!

On this second Wednesday of the month, the Pathfinder Society meets again in the vaults of the association: 13. November 2024 at 17:30 until approx. 23:00 we agents will go on another adventure. It will be the adventure 3-05: Inheritor’s Rite and will be played in Swiss German (or in standard German if this works better for individual players).

The Pathfinder Society’s lodge at the Cathedral of Aroden in the Andoran city of Almas faces a legitimate legal threat from the church of Iomedae, which seeks to lay claim the storied edifice. The heroes must work with the lodge’s venture-captain to prepare a legal defense, as they’ll need to sway a panel of judges if the Pathfinder Society is to retain ownership of the lodge and maintain its foothold in Almas.

But not all is as it seems, and enemies of the Society—and of Andoran—are preparing to make their move when least expected. The Pathfinders’ legal claim to the cathedral is not all that they’ll need to defend!

The adventure is suitable for characters of levels 1-4. It is also open to new players who do not yet have any role-playing experience and/or are not yet familiar with the Pathfinder system in its 2nd edition.

A spooky surprise

On this second Wednesday of the month, the Pathfinder Society meets again in the vaults of the association: 08. October 2024 at 17:30 until approx. 23:00 we agents will go on another adventure. It will be the adventure 3-02: The Crocodile’s Smile and will be played in Swiss German (or in standard German if this works better for individual players).

With pressure mounting against the legal claim on one of their lodges, the Society sends a group of heroes to assist in the defense.

Arriving in the Andoran city of Almas, the PCs quickly find themselves doing far more than paperwork when a ghostly specter seemingly accuses the Pathfinder Society of some heinous act. Forced to investigate the ghost’s appearance, it’s up to the PCs to figure out the truth behind the message and what is really going with the so-called “East Hill Haunting”.

The adventure is suitable for characters of levels 1-4. It is also open to new players who do not yet have any role-playing experience and/or are not yet familiar with the Pathfinder system in its 2nd edition.

Mischief in the Maze

The Pathfinder Society will meet this April in the vaults of the association – and this time again in the usual rhythm. On 8. May 2024 at 17:30 until approx. 23:00 we agents will go on another adventure. It will be the adventure 5-12: Mischief in the Maze and will be played in Swiss German (or in standard German if this works better for individual players).

The Maze of the Open Road mostly been stabilized, and yet agents are still ending up at the wrong destination. While no one has been hurt, Venture-Captain Sigvard Tornkvist fears that it might be a matter of time until injury or worse results. She tasks the PCs with investigating the cause of these mishaps, and dealing with it if possible.

Little do the PCs know what they’ve gotten themselves into, but there’s a nonzero chance they’ll find themselves in a dance-off before their mission is complete.

The adventure is suitable for characters of levels 1-4. It is also open to new players who do not yet have any role-playing experience and/or are not yet familiar with the Pathfinder system in its 2nd edition.
