Once a year we move. This time to Weissensteinstrassse 16, as decided at last Sunday’s general meeting. We will now have three (!) playable rooms there, which will of course be decorated in a fantastic or scifiesque or library style. And all this starting the end of October!

Below is an overview of all the changes; you can find more details in the minutes:

Finances

So that we can afford the new (more expensive) rooms, the following changes were decided:

• Price for KuL membership increased to 100 from 2026. (If this poses a financial problem, please do not hesitate to get in touch)
• New room rental fee for KuLists after relocation 50.-
• New room rental fee for non-KuLists after relocation 70.-

However, we are also dependent on additional support so that we can furnish the rooms in the way we envision. A thousand thanks to all those who have already donated for the new facilities! If you would also like to help make KuL’s new premises possible:

Renovation and moving

The move to Weissensteinstrasse 16 is scheduled for Saturday, October 18. Any helping hands are very welcome! But there is also plenty to do before then: painting, DIY, laying flooring, and much more. To help us coordinate everything, please fill out the following Doodle so we know when we have helpers available.

We need most helpers at the beginning and on the 18th. Please let us know if you can help outside of these dates or at specific times. The times given are approximate. We would also be happy to have your help an hour later!

Code of Conduct

To better represent KuL’s stance on shared play, the Höck has adopted a Code of Conduct. Both GMs and players who use KuL’s rooms can rely on this code.

Not much has happened in the last two months, but since we’ve only been in the new premises for six months, that’s allowed to happen! Nevertheless, there is some news:

• The half-year results are looking good! Although our income from drinks and collections/donations was lower than expected, this is more than made up for by the increased use of the space
• We will soon have new food offerings in the room. Kieran will be selling pastries and Ronja will be offering frozen meals
• There have also been some changes to the room decor: the fantasy room now has a sword hanging on the wall, the sci-fi room is now better soundproofed and there is a screen and a large fridge in the lounge

  Welcome to “The Sincere Series,” a kul-quest that delves into storytelling beyond lighthearted adventures, exploring deeper themes of life, emotions, and secrets. This series offers four standalone one-shot games, each with its unique narrative but united by their somber and thoughtful tone.

  The Ten Thunders are a crime syndicate that recruits the poor and desperate and turns them into weapons to wield against their enemies. You are one of these them, and your training is nearly complete. When a petty thief steals a dangerous object, it falls to you to seek revenge for his transgressions.

  KuL Paint & Prep is a creative evening for GMs and players to paint minis, build terrain, and prepare adventures and/or characters together. You can bring your own project or help colour the minis we have on site.

• System of the Month August: Perils and Princesses, English/German, 2., 9. & 30.08.2025
  A party of valiant Princesses embarked on a grand adventure. They each received a magical Gift from their Fairy Godmothers to aid them in their quest through the enchanted forest. They bargained with pixies, outwitted goblins, danced in the moonlight at a mossy shrine and even stopped for a picnic with a unicorn along the way.

  After it was so nice last year, there will be another barbecue at Tim’s house 😉 KuL members should have received all information by e-mail.

There was another Höck in May with lots of interesting topics and discussions – and we don’t want to withhold a summary from you. Finally, as usual, an outlook for the coming weeks.

Information from the Höck

• We put the finishing touches to the terms and conditions and then post them on the website. All people who book our room must agree to them.
  
• If you think something important is missing in our rooms – whether it’s equipment or decoration, for example – please let us know via Discord in the Feedback & Ideas channel. (By the way, replacements for the chairs that are currently in the lounge are already on the wish list).
  
• The board games and RPG books are now electronically inventoried.
  
• Board games can no longer be borrowed and taken home, but with the lounge we now have a great place to play them. (Unlike RPG books, which can still be taken home, too much can get lost with board games).
  
• All Höcks for this year are posted in the Discord events and in the calendar, so that you can transfer the dates to your calendars and nothing stands in the way of your participation.

  Stationed at the bustling guild hall, you’ll sort parcels, make deliveries, and keep the mail moving. But today’s mail isn’t ordinary—some packages bite, others hide secrets, and some even try to escape. With nervous pigeons, cursed deliveries, and outlawed contraband, you’ll need quick thinking, teamwork, and luck to get the mail through—intact and on time.
